Reporting to the Director of DevOps, the DevOps Engineer IV contributes to the development and repeatability of the deployment tools and processes.


You will be responsible for supporting the CI/CD pipeline, including build jobs, software scanning tools (for both code quality and security), as well as reporting, monitoring, and alerting tools. You will also be reviewing the current suite of tools and making suggestions for improvements that can be made. You will be an integral part of the DevOps team which provides the company’s developers with the tools they need to deploy the software rapidly, repeatedly, and safely they create and support.


  1. Deployment Platform You will develop and maintain the CI/CD pipeline and support the continuous improvement of all its components.
  2. Support You will support the development teams and provide guidance to improve communication between the teams. You will espouse DevOps best practices adjacent to or embedded in Software Development teams, develop, and maintain continuous integration, continuous deployment, and development processes to ensure a high level of system availability and quality.
  3. Mentorship You will avail yourself of mentorship provided by Senior team members and develop a mindset of continuous personal improvement to better meet the needs of DevOps.


A natural lean toward understanding and implementing best practices in the support of the SDLC life cycle of our systems and products.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, engineering, computer engineering, or a related STEM field; Master’s degree would be considered an asset
  • Experience with Software development (Familiar with the common tools, Git, issue/task tracker)
  • A working understanding of code and scripts
  • Proven success using database technologies such as: MongoDB is preferred, SQL, and MySQL
  • Background in another IT field such as software development
  • Excellent multitasking abilities
  • Experience or familiarity with all or most of the following tools: Git (ie. BitBucket), Kubernetes, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana, Jenkins, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, Fluentd
  • Security Analysis and alerting using AWS features/sources
  • Deeper understanding of Kubernetes/Helm
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and in teams.
  • Experience with team management tools.
  • Familiar with Python is preferred, C++, Bash, GO and/or similar languages.
  • Experience with configuration management technology to build automated deployments.
  • Knowledge and experience with strategy-building techniques for routine application maintenance tasks.
  • Experience with source control tools.
  • Experience with continuous integration tools.
  • Ability to plan improvements and guide others to a successful implementation.
  • Experience mentoring juniors

Must Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a DevOps engineer in a cloud environment, AWS Preferred
  • Git/GitOps
  • Experience building Kubernetes cluster on EKS
  • Python or similar scripting languages
  • Kubernetes/Helm (docker etc)
  • Software developer background preferred
  • Experience with CICD- Jenkins/Docker

Very good to have:

  • Experience with a web scale Saas
  • Observability tools such as:
    • o Grafana
    • o Prometheus
    • o Jaeger
    • o Elastic

    Nice to have:

    • Terraform
    • Ansible
    • Built languages i.e.: C++, C#
    • Configuration as Code
    • AWS Certification
    • Software developer background
